Synopsis: General Contractor: Haskell Corporation The Power Block Project was an "anchor bolts down" sub-project of the Eklutna Generation Station for MEA. RHC performed this work as a subcontractor to Haskell Corporation. The Eklutna Generation Station is a 170 megawatt power plant powered by 10 Wartsila reciprocating engines. RHC's scope of work included; civil, structural, and architectural services on the 45,000 square foot power block building, four outbuildings, and two storage shelters. RHC performed all grading, excavation, foundation, and roadway work on the 20-acre site - our civil crews worked 14,000 man-hours in a four month period! Additionally; we placed 12,000 LF of underground piping, 775 tons of rebar, and 23,000 CY of concrete.
