Descriptive: RHC designed and built a 7,700 square feet day lodge and parking lot on a 4 acre site for Anchorage's local ski resort. The day lodge includes kitchen facilities, cafeteria, meeting space, retail area, ski rental, ski maintenance and administration areas. The building is wood frame, heavy timber roof construction with concrete pillars throughout. Also included, was in slab heating system rough-in for a future installation. The project successfully met client's limited budget and tight schedule, which allowed them to receive a grant for hosting the 2000 Winter Special Olympics. |
