Descriptive:

Construct a 12,000 SF addition to an existing maintenance and indoor storage facility for Northwest Airlines' air cargo operation at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Both the existing and new buildings use pre-engineered steel frames with metal siding. Roofing system is single-ply membrane over rigid insulation fastened to metal decking. The project was publically bid but all bids substantially exceeded the Owner's budget. RHC, though not the lowest initial bidder, offered the Owner an extensive list of cost saving ideas and ultimately was awarded the construction contract.
