Descriptive:
RHC
developed a 13 acre site and constructed a 115,000 square foot
concrete tilt-up building. The 6 inch slab-on-grade went down
in two pours using laser screeds & riding power trowels.
These were the largest single day slab pours in Alaska to date.
The roof structure consists of tube steel columns, metal joists
& decking, and single ply EPDM roofing. Perimeter walls
are furred, insulated, plywood sheathed and then painted. The
building is heated with natural gas fired rooftop air handling
units, which is the first such installation in Fairbanks. RHC
crews performed all concrete work, swing doors, and specialties
work. We worked to design documents provided by the Owner. |
